Kasma Daniel quits SAG team

KUALA LUMPUR: Moto2 rider Kasma Daniel Kasmayudin has decided not to renew his contract with Spain’s SAG Team for next season.

The 20-year-old Johor-born rider, who had a challenging year where he failed to score any points in 14 races, thanked the team for helping him since joining them this year.

“I am grateful for the experience and guidance given to me by SAG. I wish SAG the best in the future. Thanks also to (the main sponsor of SAG Team), TKKR Racing Team which gave me this opportunity in 2020, ” he said on Instagram.

Kasma Daniel said that his management were in talks with several parties, including teams in the European FIM CEV Championship as well as the Asian Motorcycle Championship (Asia Road Race Championship).

It is that his decision to leave the team was due to the withdrawal of local sponsor TKKR Racing Team.

The SAG Team have teamed up with Indonesia’s Mandalika Racing Team and will now be known as the Pertamina Mandalika SAG Team. — Bernama
