PETALING JAYA: Rookie rider Khairul Idham Pawi(pic) upstaged his more experienced Malaysian compatriot Hafizh Syahrin Abdullah en route to a top-10 finish on the first day of Moto2 official testing at the Jerez Circuit in Spain.
The 18-year-old Khairul had the fifth fastest time of 1:43.292 in the second session on Wednesday – placing him ninth overall at the end of the day.
