SEPANG: Reigning MotoGP world champion Marc Marquez says he is ready to hit the ground running as he launches his bid for a record eighth premier-class title this season.

The Spaniard, now riding for Ducati Lenovo Team, gave an encouraging update on his fitness after returning from a lengthy layoff due to a right shoulder injury.
