PETALING JAYA: Honda’s Yuki Takahashi of Japan extended his FIM Asia Road Racing Championship’s SuperSports 600cc lead following a lucky break in Race 1 of round five at the Losail International Circuit in Qatar.
Pole-sitter Takahashi was struggling at the start of Saturday’s race with eight riders battling for the lead but his fortunes changed on lap seven following a crash. Taiga Hada clipped leader Tomoyoshi Koyama’s rear, causing both T. Pro Yuzy Honda NTS riders to crash at Turn 1.
