IPOH: Before India’s veteran defender Amit Rohidas (pic) became a mainstay for his national team, there was a time when he was kicking a football around in his village in Odisha.

That ball was a gift from his father before he even picked up a hockey stick, and the sport called the ‘’beautiful game’’ became his first love.
