Belgium legend Boon hopes to end career with a boom at LA Olympics

IPOH: Belgium’s hockey legend Tom Boon (pic) has been with the Red Lions for more than 17 years, but he’s not ready to hang up his sticks just yet.

Turning 36 in January, Boon has over 370 international caps with Belgium, and has achieved just about every accolade a world-class forward could aspire to get – an Olympic gold medal, a World Cup title, and a European Championship win, and has now been named the 2025 FIH Player of the Year.
