A few key pointers for beginners
1 Just blast it
For those who are just taking up the game, try to hit it as far as they can rather than get caught up in too much technique. At some stage you will need to try and get some sort of basic technique, but begin by hitting it as far and as hard as they can.
2 No pressure
Putting from five feet for the British Open title or a stack of money, and putting from five feet in a social game with friends is very different. When under pressure, the plan is to try and hit the putt as though you are on the practice green, or imagine you are playing with my friends on your home course.
