PETALING JAYA: Tokyo Olympics hopeful Kelly Tan made a fiery start with a splendid four-under 67 at the Pure Silk Championship in Virginia, the United States.

The Malaysian LPGA golfer sits on a five-way tie for second, one shot behind leader Hsu Wei-ling of Taiwan. Wei-ling shot a bogey-free five-under 66 at Kingsmill Resort.
