WELL I am sure none of us thought the past 3 months would be like this, however it’s been exciting to see my friends and family spending some time outdoors and I am very excited that I have been able to get back on the golf course the past month.
You sure realise how much you miss something you love when it is taken away for a bit.
The many changes that we have all experienced with Covid-19 has had a dramatic effect in the sporting world as well. As an athlete I have missed competing and watching many of my favorite sports live and on TV.
But in the last couple of weeks there’s been positive updates by several sporting leagues. Just the other day Tiger Wood & Peyton Manning vs Phil Mickelson and Tom Brady in a charity golf match which took place at Medalist Golf Club, Florida.
I’m sure many golfers like myself were watching with much anticipation. It was a fun event that helped raise money for the Covid-19 and they raised US$20mil!
The players were chirpy on course, which made for good TV.
It was definitely good to see the two golf legends – absolute giants of the game – (Tiger and Phil) in competition mode and still staying loose with lots of jokes around on the day.
The PGA Tour is starting up this week and I believe that’ll be very exciting and I look forward to watching them on TV.
I’m sure most of you are wanting to know when the LPGA Tour is starting up and we’ve just had a meeting with the Tour.
Our first event is projected to be July 23 and unfortunately there’s no confirmation yet as things are changing daily at this moment.
I know once we get back on the road it is going to be very busy traveling and flying around.
As of now, I’m like a social golfer who golfs everyday anywhere that I can get a tee-time with friends trying to stay sharp with my game.
Also, I’ve picked up running outdoors which I never thought I would do, but I’ve really been enjoying being outside with the fresh air that’s for sure!
I hope you are all enjoying some fresh air and like me all have a fresh outlook on the next few months.
Onwards and upwards!
