Sports tourism gets timely boost

The 6th edition of the Perodua National Amateur Golf Series (PNAGS) 2026 was officially launched at Templer Park Country & Golf Club, marking a significant milestone for Malaysia’s ambitions as a leading sports tourism destination, highlighted by the Visit Malaysia Year 2026.

The launch was officiated by Lee Thai Hung, deputy director general (Promotion II), Tourism Malaysia, who delivered the keynote address. In his remarks, Lee underscored PNAGS as a strategic platform that not only elevates Malaysia’s golfing community but also strengthens the nation’s standing as a host for sporting events.
