Massive changes in new rules

THE two governing bodies of world golf, the R&A and the United States Golf Association (USGA), have published the new Rules of Golf that come into effect on Jan 1 next year and also posted an online “questionnaire and data-gathering exercise” on distance in the sport.

A new Player’s Edition of the Rules of Golf is being introduced for the first time and is aimed at providing a shorter, more user-friendly version of the Rules of Golf, for players of all skill levels.
