KELAB Rahman Putra Malaysia, a 36-hole golf course in Sungai Buloh, Selangor and spread over 279 acres, celebrated its 30th anniversary and organised a golf tournament to mark the occasion.

About 370 participants took part in the tournament that was split into two sessions, given the overwhelming response. And as a result, both courses - the Lakes and the Hills - were used.

The action out on the course was followed by a dinner and prize presentation, with Bank Negara Malaysia Governor Datuk Muhammad Ibrahim as the guest of honour.

The celebrations carried a tagline of “Golfing, Family & Friendship”. And in the main, it was aimed at bonding and promoting an active lifestyle among the club’s members and their guests.

Also to mark the celebrations, the club organised a Food Fiesta at the Golfer’s Terrace and there were huge spreads to choose from, local and western cuisine. In addition, there was a karaoke competition as well as a darts tournament.

In line with the club’s policy of building the community and “to help others”, 30 children from Rumah Pernim Cheras were invited for a hearty meal.
