(Reuters) - New Zealand's Danny Lee used a hot start to grab his first 54-hole lead in a PGA Tour event at the Waste Management Phoenix Open on Saturday while three-time winner Phil Mickelson vaulted into contention.

Lee made three consecutive birdies from the second hole to build a big cushion en route to a four-under-par 67 at the TPC Scottsdale in Scottsdale, Arizona, and 13-under 200 total.
