Sukree taking over the mantle from Nicholas in Manila

PETALING JAYA: On a day Malaysian golfer Nicholas Fung faltered, compatriot Sukree Othman took up the challenge to stay in the mix for Sunday’s final round of the Resorts World Manila Masters.

Sukree, who ended a two-year title drought by winning the PGA Championship of Malaysia in Sungai Buloh last week, continued with his steady momentum with a four-under 68 for a three-day total of nine-under 207 and a share of sixth place – five shots behind leader Hung Chien-yao of Taiwan.
