(Reuters) - An abdominal injury has prompted three-time Masters champion Phil Mickelson to pull out of the Texas Open, less than two weeks before the first major championship of 2014 at Augusta.
Mickelson, who was out of contention, pulled an oblique muscle midway through the third round at the TPC San Antonio on Saturday.
