PETALING JAYA: Terengganu are steadily unveiling some new signings, but one name has caught their fans’ attention.
Burundian international winger Elvis Kamsoba (pic) has joined the club from Immigration, now known as Star City, as new Turtles coach Nafuzi Zain builds his squad for the upcoming project.

The 30-year-old with the legendary rock star’s name made 26 appearances in all competitions last season in the Malaysian League, scoring three goals and providing five assists.
While his numbers may not match those of other attackers, Nafuzi explained why he moved to sign Kamsoba to strengthen his flank options.
“I was looking for quality out wide. I had been watching Elvis’ performances for Immigration last season, and he was consistent,” said Nafuzi.
“The impact he had, especially with his pace, movement and dribbling – I liked it, and I felt he could help us with his performances.”
Besides Kamsoba, Nafuzi will also reunite with two midfielders he previously worked with at Terengganu – Filipino international Manuel Ott and Bahraini midfielder Habib Haroon.
“As for Manny (Ott) and Habib, I have worked with them before, so I know how they play in midfield and how they can execute the football I want on the field,” he said.
Also in the mix for midfield roles are Ahmad Haziq Kutty Abba and Daniel Amier Norhisham.
“The players we have signed so far, we have been monitoring for quite a while. Some of them I have known for a long time, so I’m happy with the signings we’ve made,” Nafuzi said.
“Haziq worked with me in the Malaysia Under-23 set-up, so I know what he brings to the table, and I want to help him improve further in his career.
“I have watched Daniel’s games in Kuching, so I know he can help us a lot in the middle of the park. These local players will benefit our team.”
