Bosnian wing wizard Motika pens extension with Negri

PETALING JAYA: Left winger Jovan Motika is not only staying put with Negri Sembilan but has promised to deliver more.

The club proudly announced that the prolific attacker, who netted 11 goals across all competitions last season, signed a contract extension that will keep him in Seremban until 2028.

Motika’s pace and sharp finishing on the left flank are expected to remain the primary weapons for the squad’s attacking machinery as they hunt for more victories.

“I am in love with these colours and I can’t wait for the new season,” said Motika, 27, after signing the deal.

“Negri are one of the better clubs in Malaysia at the moment, as they are rapidly improving in everything.

“This club and people believe in me and I hope that in the future I will have better seasons than the one last season.

“I think we have already seen some mistakes from last season and what can be improved, so I expect Negri will be even more stable and better next season.”

The Deer also confirmed they have retained the services of four crucial Japanese players – Takumi Sasaki, Mio Tsuneyasu, Yuichi Hirano, and Kei Oshiro.

Sasaki has penned a two-season extension, marking his third year serving the team.

The playmaker was a vital cog last season, recording two goals and seven assists while providing essential vision, experience, and established chemistry to the squad.
