Wilkin ends four-year Sabah stint

PETALING JAYA: Midfielder Stuart Wilkin has left Sabah after four years with the club.

The club announced that the 27-year-old Wilkin would leave the club on mutual agreement midway through the Super League season.

“Thank you, Wilkin, for everything – the efforts and commitment with the Rhinos, as well as always giving your all since 2022,” the club said in a statement on Tuesday (Jan 13).

Wilkin had been a key figure in the squad since his arrival, making 109 appearances for Sabah with 17 goals and 21 assists and had been the heartbeat of the midfield.

Wilkin’s next move was expected to be announced soon, with word that he could be heading to Johor Darul Ta’zim (JDT), where he played in 2021.
