Kuching back to 2nd spot in Super League

PETALING JAYA: Kuching City clawed their way to second spot in the Super League after edging Brunei 1-0 on Saturday (Nov 22).

Kuching's Ramadhan Saifullah Usman was the hero for the hosts after his goal in the 69th minute was enough to see his side take the three points at home at the Sarawak Stadium.

Coach Aidil Shahrin Sahak's team now have 20 points, equal with Kuala Lumpur but sit above the City Boys on goal difference.

Meanwhile, Selangor also took home three points after they beat Kelantan 2-0 at the Petaling Jaya Stadium.

The Red Giants took charge of the match in the first half thanks to Alvin Fortes, who put the hosts ahead in the 20th minute.

Brazilian forward Chrigor Moraes then doubled Selangor's lead when he netted in the 54th minute, which was enough for the side to walk away with the win.

The three points moved Selangor up one spot as they sit fourth in the table with 16 points, behind Kuala Lumpur and Kuching.

Below Selangor, Terengganu have 14 points after drawing 1-1 against Negri Sembilan at the Tuanku Abdul Rahman Stadium.

Negri were the first to get ahead when Luqman Hakim Shamsudin scored in the first half's added time.

But Terengganu's Ubaidullah Shamsul Fazili found the equaliser late into the game, scoring to even things out in second half injury time.
