Soccer-Morocco’s Berkane stake strong claim for final spot

CAPE TOWN (Reuters) -Morocco’s Renaissance Berkane look headed to a yet another appearance in the African Confederation Cup final after a resounding 4-0 win over CS Constantine from Algeria in Sunday’s first leg of their semi-final tie.

Berkane, who won a first Moroccan championship last month, have reached four Confederation Cup finals in the past six years, winning twice, and will be heavily fancied to advance again after a double from Oussama Lamlaoui followed first half goals from Youssef Mehri and Paul Bassene and saw them to a comfortable home win.
