PETALING JAYA: Terengganu had their training session affected due to the rain yesterday but they are staying focused on the task at hand against Selangor in their Super League campaign today.

Poor weather at the Petaling Jaya City Council Stadium saw the Turtles’ training session affected but head coach Badrul Afzan Razali is keeping his players in check to take on the Red Giants.

“We have to go all out for our last three games and get maximum points. But the first challenge will be against Selangor,” he said.

The team did not have a long Hari Raya break as they returned to training on Tuesday to prepare for the match.

“I know it’s not a long Hari Raya break but the players know what is coming. They know we have a big game coming up.

“Everyone is still in the Hari Raya mood but I hope they are also ready to play.

“They are professionals and this is the same with Selangor’s players, who are also preparing. It won’t be easy to take on Selangor,” he said.

Terengganu are aiming to finish in the top four of the Super League this season, which will see them play in the Asean Club Championship for the second straight season.

They are currently fifth in the league with 32 points from 22 games and have to win their last three games to meet their top four target.

“I hope the players play without feeling the pressure. We know it’s not easy, but whatever it is, I just want them to play with the winning mentality,” said Badrul.

“The energy at the Petaling Jaya City Council Stadium is good for our opponents, it will be filled with Selangor fans.
