Malaysia draw 2-2 with Cambodia in first AFF Cup group match


PETALING JAYA: It was not the best of starts for Malaysia in the AFF Cup.

The side coached by Pau Marti Vicente had to fight back to hold Cambodia 2-2 in their first Group A match at the Phnom Penh Olympic Stadium on Sunday (Dec 8).

Malaysia's goals were scored by midfielder Stuart Wilkin (35th minute) and striker Fergus Tierney (74th).

Goals for Cambodia were scored by striker Abdul Kader Coulibaly (52nd) and winger Sa Ty (60th).

Malaysia will next take on Timor Leste at the National Stadium in Bukit Jalil on Wednesday.
