Football: Sabah crash out of AFC Cup to Aussie side Macarthur 3-0


PETALING JAYA: Sabah’s AFC Cup journey is over.

The Rhinos, who have not had any competitive matches since December, were humbled by Australian club Macarthur 3-0 in their Asean zone semi-final game at the Campbelltown Stadium in New South Wales, Australia on Tuesday (Feb 12).

Winger Jed Drew was the man of the match with two goals and one assist. His goals were scored in the 46th and 80th minute.

The 20-year-old assisted Ulises Davila’s first goal in the 40th minute.

The A-League side will face either Cambodian club Phnom Penh Crown or fellow A-League side Central Coast Mariners in the Asean zone final.
