Soccer-Algeria withdraw bid to host Cup of Nations finals

CAPE TOWN (Reuters) - Algeria have withdrawn their bid to host one of two future Africa Cup of Nations finals on the eve of the vote, the country’s football association said on Tuesday.

Algeria were one of the candidates for hosting either the 2025 or 2027 finals, which will be decided by a vote of the Confederation of African Football’s executive committee in Cairo on Wednesday.
