HANOI: A penalty shootout was needed to settle the Vietnam SEA Games bronze medal playoff between Malaysia and Indonesia, and it was Indonesia who came out victors.
Indonesia’s naturalised midfielder Marc Klok buried in the winning penalty to give Indonesia a 4-3 shootout win and bronze medal.
The game in regular time ended 1-1, with Ronaldo Kwateh scoring in the 70th minute for the Garudas, while Hadi Fayyadh Abdul Razak equalised for Harimau Muda in the 80th minute.
