JDT reserve Akhyar shows he deserves regular spot in Pan-gon’s team

PETALING JAYA: Johor Darul Ta’zim (JDT) winger Akhyar Rashid’s inclusion in the national squad was a surprise to many as he was hardly a regular starter with the Southern Tigers for the last two seasons.

But the 22-year-old showed that coach Kim Pan-gon made the right decision with an exciting display in the 2-0 friendly win over the Philippines at the Singapore National Stadium on Wednesday.
