Harimau Malaya off to roaring start in AFF Suzuki Cup

PETALING JAYA: Malaysia are off to a winning start in the AFF Suzuki Cup after defeating Cambodia 3-1 in their Group B opener at the Bishan Stadium in Singapore on Monday (Dec 6).

The side, led by coach Tan Cheng Hoe, did not dominate the game but made their chances count.

Harimau Malaya's goals were scored by Safawi Rasid (20th minute), Akhyar Rashid (60th) and R. Kogileswaran (78th).

Cambodia's consolation came in the 89th minute through Seth Rosib.

Malaysia will next face Laos on Dec 9 at the Bishan Stadium.
