PETALING JAYA: Johor Darul Ta’zim will just need a win or a draw in their next match to seal their seventh straight Super League title.

The side, led by Benjamin Mora, has been imperious since the league resumption on Aug 28 and continued their winning run by thrashing Selangor 6-1 at the Sultan Ibrahim Stadium in Iskandar Puteri on Saturday (Sept 19).

JDT’s goals were scored by Ramadhan Saifullah (72nd minute and 75th), Safawi Rasid (45th and 49th), Diogo Santo (64th) and Gonzalo Cabrera (67th). The Red Giants' lone goal was scored by their Spaniard striker Rufino Segovia in the 81st minute.

In another match, UiTM humbled Terengganu 2-1 at the UiTM Stadium in Shah Alam. Their goals were scored by Arif Anwar (fourth minute) and the winner from French centreback Victor Nirennold (60th). Terengganu’s Lee Tuck scored his team’s only goal in the 38th minute.
