IT’S a relatively new phenomenon, but since national coach Tan Cheng Hoe took over in 2017, a good number of players have been based overseas.

First up was Spanish-Malaysian Kiko Insa, who moved from Pahang to Bangkok Glass in February 2018, followed by Australian-born Curran Singh Ferns, who left Felda United to join Thai League One club Sukhothai in June that year.
