JOHOR BARU: Johor Darul Ta'zim (JDT) players, coaches and staff have all agreed to take a 33% salary cut and give a portion of their salaries to the state's disaster fund.
In a post on the Johor Southern Tigers Facebook page, JDT said that the move was to assist efforts to ease the burden on Johoreans during the Covid-19 crisis.
"Due to humanitarian demands that the Covid-19 outbreak has brought upon all walks of life, JDT football club players, coaches and staff have agreed to take a 33% salary cut and donate a portion of their salaries to the Johor disaster fund.
"This is in order to help the club and society ease their burden during this testing time," read the statement Sunday (March 29).
