PETALING JAYA: Kelantan midfielder Brendan Gan has received a surprise maiden call-up to the national team.

National coach Datuk Ong Kim Swee has named the 27-year-old Australia-born playmaker in the 23-man squad for Malaysia’s last World Cup qualifying match in Group A against Saudi Arabia at the King Abdullah Sport City Stadium in Jeddah on March 24.
