Charity football match to raise funds for east coast flood victims

PETALING JAYA: In response to the worsening floods in the east coast of Malaysia, One Goal Malaysia will be channeling part of the funds raised through the "I Eat, I Am" charity football match on Dec 27 December to support emergency relief efforts for flood victims in Kelantan, Terengganu and Pahang.

The match, organised by BumiBola Sports, which brings together local and international personalities in a friendly football match, was initially focused on raising funds for One Goal Malaysia’s programmes addressing child malnutrition.

However, Captains Joe Flizzow of Team Malaysia and Abbas Saad of Team Rest of the World and sponsors, have unanimously decided with One Goal Malaysia that part of the funds raised in the charity match at Stadium Merdeka, will go towards this relief effort.?

The public can help by joining them at Stadium Merdeka on Dec 27 at 8.45pm to raise funds for the flood victims in the east coast states.

For those who can’t make it to the match but would still like to donate to the relief efforts, they can contact One Goal Malaysia at malaysia@onegoal.asia or call +60378874840.

Tickets priced at RM15 (normal seating) and RM25 (grandstand) can be purchased online at redtix.airasia.com. Tickets will also be on sale on match day (Dec 27) from 5pm onwards at Stadium Merdeka.
