Divers make it 40 golds for Malaysia (updated)


Gold No.40. Ooi Tze Liang and Mohd Nazreen Abdullah celebrate Malaysia's 40th gold medal after clinching the 10m platform synchro on Saturday.

NAYPYITAW: They only got to train together for five times but it was enough to end Malaysia’s gold medal drought dating back to the 2001 SEA Games in Kuala Lumpur.

Ooi Tze Liang-Mohd Nazreen Abdullah got their act right to win the men’s 10m platform synchro final at the Wunna Theikdi Aquatic Centre on Saturday.
