PETALING JAYA: Mirabel Ting delivered the perfect Merdeka Day gift to Malaysia after triumphing again on American soil.
The 20-year-old from Miri won the Dream First Bank Charity Classic event in Garden City, Kansas to claim her second Epson Tour win of the season on Sunday.
Mirabel put up a final day of six-under 66 to win the tournament by three strokes with her total of 14-under 202.
Mirabel, who had just lifted her maiden Epson Tour title in Tennessee last month, was also leading in the first two days with after rounds of 66 and 70.
American Dorsey Addicks came in second on 11-under 205 (70-69-66).
On joint third place at 10-under 206 were Mexican Lauren Olivares (69-69-68) and Americans Hailey Borja (71-71-64) and Megha Ganne (67-69-70).
Mirabel's outstanding performances in her rookie season has propelled her to the top spot in the Race for the Card with just three events left to play.
She is on top in the standings with 2200.000 points while previous leader Olivares is next (2128.817) and followed by American Kaleiya Romero (1714.509).
