PETALING JAYA: Raya cheers came early for Mohd Shah Firdaus Sahrom with his ascension into the top rungs of the track cycling world rankings.

The 29-year-old is ranked sixth in the sprint elite rankings with 5,174 points, the highest he has attained in his career so far.
