KUALA LUMPUR:National kegler Timmy Tan’s hopes of clinching his first Professional Bowlers Association (PBA) title were dashed after he finished fourth at the Indiana Classic in the United States on Sunday.

The 31-year-old was eliminated after going down 172-202 to home bowler EJ Tackett during the second match of the stepladder finals at Pro Bowl West in Fort Wayne, Indiana.

Another American, Marshall Kent, secured the championship by defeating compatriot Boog Krol 152-136 in the title match.

Timmy previously finished third in the qualifying round with a total of 8,689 pins, behind Krol, who topped the standings with 8,765 pins. - Bernama
