Timmy falls short but still celebrates career-high PBA finish

PETALING JAYA: National bowler Timmy Tan came within a single point of reaching the finale but still relished his first-ever top-five finish in the Professional Bowlers Association (PBA) Tour after finishing fourth in the Pete Weber Missouri Classic.

The 30-year-old, who had hoped to become the second Malaysian male player to win a PBA Tour title after Zulmazran Zulkifli in 2023, started strong with seven strikes in his stepladder first game against Dom Barrett at Enterprise Park Lanes in Springfield, Missouri on Sunday.
