Malaysia win mixed team event for third gold in Commonwealth meet

PETALING JAYA: Malaysia tore the field apart to win the mixed team title for their third gold at the Commonwealth Tenpin Bowling Championships in Johannesburg, South Africa.

The quartet of Muhd Nur Aiman Khairuddin, Timmy Tan, Shalin Zulkifli and Siti Safiyah Amirah Abdul Rahman combined superbly to amass a 24-game total of 5,602 pinfalls – a whopping 588 pins more than second placed South Africa (5,014) at the Northcliff Bowl on Thursday.
