SUBANG JAYA: National bowler Syaidatul Afifah Badrul Hamidi showed no signs of her recent lower back injury as she got her title defence in the Malaysian Open off to a convincing start.

The 23-year-old finished second in the first round of the women’s Masters Finals at the Sunway Mega Lanes here on Friday.
