PETALING JAYA: Former world champions Aaron Chia-Soh Wooi Yik have suffered another setback in their bid to qualify for the World Tour Finals after withdrawing from the Korean Open on Tuesday (Nov 3).

The world No. 4 pair retired from their French Open quarter-final match two weeks ago after Wooi Yik sustained a right heel injury.

They also skipped last week’s Hylo Open in Germany, making the Korean Open their second consecutive tournament withdrawal.

The Badminton Association of Malaysia (BAM) have yet to comment on the latest development.

Aaron-Wooi Yik are currently sixth in the men’s doubles race for the season-ending Finals in December, with the top eight pairs qualifying.

They remain listed in the main draws for the Kumamoto Masters from Nov 10-15 and the Hong Kong Open from Nov 17-22.
