Aaron-Soh and Pearly-Thinaah crash out of Asian Championships q-finals


PETALING JAYA: Malaysia ended the campaign at the Asian Championships empty-handed after defending men’s doubles champions Aaron Chia-Soh Wooi Yik bowed out in the quarter-finals on Friday (April 10).

In the match at the Ningbo Olympic Centre, Aaron-Wooi Yik were pushed to the limit by South Korea’s Kang Min-hyuk-Ki Dong-ju before going down 19-21, 28-26, 21-13.

Earlier, women’s doubles pair Pearly Tan-M. Thinaah also exited after losing to China’s Li Yijing-Luo Xumin 13-21, 15-21 in 41 minutes.
