Letshanaa cruises into Hylo Open second round


PETALING JAYA: Women’s singles shuttler K. Letshanaa made a strong start at the Hylo Open after easily overcoming Taiwan’s Huang Ching-ping 21-9, 21-15 in the first round on Wednesday (Oct 29).

Earlier in the men’s singles, Jacky Kok bowed out after losing to former world championship bronze medallist Kantaphon Wangcharoen of Thailand 19-21, 18-21.

It was also a similar story in the men’s doubles as the experienced pair of Nur Azriyn Ayub and Tan Wee Kiong fell to Indonesia’s Fajar Alfian and Muhammad Rian Ardianto 16-21, 22-24.
