PETALING JAYA: World champions Chen Tang Jie-Toh Ee Wei continued their sizzling form to storm into the Denmark Open mixed doubles semi-finals in Odense.

The fourth seeds were in total control as they ousted compatriots Goh Soon Huat-Shevon Lai Jemie 21-17, 21-11 in just 38 minutes in the quarter-finals on Friday (Oct 17).

It was their fifth win in eight meetings, and they have now stretched their winning streak against the husband-and-wife duo since triumphing at the 2024 Korean Open last year.

Tang Jie-Ee Wei will next face the winners of the quarter-final clash between Jiang Zhenbang-Wei Yaxin of China and Mathias Christiansen-Alexandra Boje of Denmark.

Meanwhile, the good run of seasoned campaigners Tan Wee Kiong-Nur Mohd Azriyn Ayub came to an end when they went down fighting 19-21, 18-21 to Liang Weikeng-Wang Chang of China.

A day ago, they had served a stunner by dumping world No. 1 Kim Won-ho-Seo Seung-jae of South Korea in the second round.
