Tang Jie-Ee Wei storm into Denmark Open second round

PETALING JAYA: World mixed doubles champions Chen Tang Jie-Toh Ee Wei got their Denmark Open campaign off to a strong start after cruising past Taiwan’s Yang Po-hsuan-Hu Ling-fang 21-15, 21-9.

The first-round match on Tuesday (Oct 14) at the Jyske Bank Arena in Odense marked Ee Wei’s return to competitive action after recovering from an abdominal injury that had kept her out of several recent tournaments.

The fourth seeds needed just 32 minutes to book their place in the second round, where they will take on China’s Gao Jiaxuan-Wu Mengying.
