PETALING JAYA: Men’s doubles shuttlers Goh Sze Fei-Nur Izzuddin Rumsani’s World Championships campaign came to a disappointing end after a shock defeat to Taiwan’s world No. 18 Lee Jhe-huei-Yang Po-hsuan.

Sze Fei-Izzuddin had a great opportunity to win when leading 20-17 in the third game but could not convert and went down 20-22, 21-15, 23-21 in 50 minutes at the Adidas Arena in Port de la Chapelle in Paris on Thursday (Aug 28).

The world No. 3 independent duo have missed out on reaching the last eight for the third time after also losing in the third round in 2021 and 2022.
