PETALING JAYA: Women's doubles shuttlers Pearly Tan-M. Thinaah have reached a career high No. 3 in the world rankings.

In the official rankings list updated on Tuesday (June 10), Pearly-Thinaah moved up one rung after their runners' up finish in the recent Indonesian Open.

There were also good news for Aaron Chia-Soh Wooi Yik in the men's doubles as the reigning Singapore Open winners rose from No. 3 to No. 2.

Independent duo Goh Sze Fei-Nur Izzuddin Rumsani held on to their No. 1 spot.

It's the first time that Malaysia are leading the top two position in the world in the men's doubles.

And another pair Man Wei Chong-Tee Kai Wun, who were in immaculate form to reach the final of the Indonesian Open last week, remained at No. 7.

In the mixed doubles, Chen Tang Jie-Toh Ee Wei maintained their ranking at No. 4 while independent pair Goh Soon Huat-Shevon Lai Jemie slipped one rung to No. 6 in the world.
