PETALING JAYA: Men’s doubles shuttlers Aaron Chia-Soh Wooi Yik booked their spot in the Thailand Open semi-finals after beating teammates Yap Roy King-Wan Arif Wan Junaidi.

Aaron-Wooi Yik, who was recently crowned as the Sportsman of the Year for winning bronze at the Paris Olympic Games last year, showed their experience against their younger teammates when they only needed 28 minutes to come away with a 21-12, 21-13 victory at the Nimibutr Stadium in Bangkok on Friday (May 16).

The world No. 5 pair will take on Thailand’s world No. 16 Dechapol Puavaranukroh-Kittinupong Kedren next for a place in the final.

Aaron-Wooi Yik will be out to continue their good form after capturing the Asian Championship title in Ningbo, China last month.
