100Plus renews partnership with BAM until 2028

PETALING JAYA: The long-standing partnership between the national badminton team and 100Plus will continue for another four years.

This is after 100Plus renewed their partnership with the Badminton Association of Malaysia (BAM) until 2028.

The isotonic beverage is BAM’s longest sponsor and will celebrate 25 years of partnership with the national body in 2028.

“I believe we are BAM’s longest serving sponsor. Our partnership started over 20 years ago in 2003 and we have continuously and loyally supported BAM ever since,” said F&N Head of Marketing Leong Wai Yin in a partnership signing event at the Academy Badminton Malaysia in Bukit Kiara yesterday.

“This long-term relationship reflects our confidence and trust in BAM. As the nation’s No. 1 isotonic beverage, we always wanted to play a role in contributing to Malaysian badminton and the nation’s goal to achieve success on the global stage. We want to see our players win the top events including the Olympics.

“I am pleased to announce that 100Plus will extend our journey with BAM for four years until 2028. Our partnership will reach 25 years anniversary in 2028.”

Aaron Chia-Soh Wooi Yik (men’s doubles), Pearly Tan-M. Thinaah (women’s doubles) and Chen Tang Jie-Toh Ee Wei (mixed doubles) are among the national players supported by them.

BAM acting president Datuk V. Subramaniam believes that the support would be crucial for BAM’s aspirations leading up to the 2028 Los Angeles Olympics.

“BAM require substantial funding to meet the ever rising cost of our development programmes, players’ training, competition preparation, hiring qualified personnel and much more,” said Subramaniam.

“Our players need all this support they can get as they prepare for major competitions ahead including Thomas and Uber Cup Finals, Sudirman Cup, World Championships, Asian Games and 2028 LA Olympics.

“100Plus will remain a permanent fixture in all our competitions and activities including the upcoming Malaysian Open (Jan 7-12).”
