Tang Jie-Ee Wei, Soon Huat-Shevon to face each other in World Tour Finals semis

PETALING JAYA: Malaysia is assured of a finalist in the mixed doubles in the World Tour Finals after Chen Tang Jie-Toh Ee Wei were drawn against Goh Soon Huat-Shevon Lai Jemie in the semi-finals.

In the draw released on Friday (Dec 13), world No. 8 Tang Jie-Ee Wei will face world No. 10 independent duo Soon Huat-Shevon on Saturday (Dec 14) in a repeat of their Group B match in the tournament which the former won in three games.

In the other last four match, China's Paris Olympics gold medallists Zheng Siwei-Huang Yaqiong will take on world No. 2 teammates Jiang Zhenbang-Wei Yaxin.

Meanwhile, in the men's doubles, world No. 7 Goh Sze Fei-Nur Izzuddin Rumsani will play Indonesia's world No. 4 Fajar Alfian-Rian Ardianto in the last four.

The other semi-final match will be between Denmark's world No. 3 Kim Astrup-Anders Skaarup Rasmussen and Indonesia's world No. 11 Sabar Gutama-Moh Reza.
