Wei Chong-Kai Wun enter quarter-finals in Finland

PETALING JAYA: Men’s doubles pair Man Wei Chong-Tee Kai Wun entered the quarter-finals of the Arctic Open after taking down Scottish duo Alexander Dunn-Adam Pringle on Thursday (Oct 10).

The world No. 13 Malaysians were quick to dismantle qualifiers Dunn-Pringle as they won 21-10, 21-15 in just 30 minutes at the Energia Arena in Vantaa, Finland.

This was the first time both pairs have met.

Wei Chong-Kai Wun will face either top seeds Liang Weikang-Wang Chang of China or Taiwan’s Lin Bing-wei-Su Ching-heng in the quarter-finals on Friday (Oct 11).

It was also a good day for Goh Sze Fei-Nur Izzuddin Rumsani as they disposed of Kemya Mitsuhashi-Hiroki Okamura of Japan 21-16, 21-16.
